A thought occurred to me this morning. Perhaps a woman who has been given physical beauty as a gift from GOD, who takes that gift and uses it to profit financially instead of honouring GOD with her blessing, is kind of like Esau trading away his birthright for a bowl of soup. She doesn't respect the Giver of the gift enough or have the thankfulness to Him for the gift enough to use the gift as a blessing from GOD with His wisdom of how to discern her gift so she can have a better life in Christ JESUS our Lord.
Matthew 7:6 6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces."
In my opinion the beauty of women is a cross to bear in Christ for men because we have an attraction to women that is natural to our flesh, but GOD says there is a right and a wrong way to respond to that and we are responsible to live with the consequences of our actions. Obedience to GOD produces the best results and we should chose the Spirit over the flesh. Our flesh is at war with GOD if used as a guide for our lives, but GOD gave us the Holy Spirit to follow instead. The body has wants and desires, righteousness comes from GOD in the Bible.
Matthew 6:23 23 "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!"
GOD also gave us Christian marriage as a way to manage our flesh in GOD's definition of sexual morality, if we feel unable to do that through celibacy/abstinence. Neither option is wrong or more righteous than the other, but Paul says he believes celibacy is more convenient to the exercise of Christian faith in this earthly life. (read 1 Corinthians 7)
I think that without wise counsel this earth is an easy place to get lost in as a youth with all the temptations of sin and our pride that wants to put self above others. Once self doesn't work out, then the vast difference between GOD and "the world" becomes obvious. I also think GOD is perfect in all our circumstances and working out our salvation whenever it happens in a way only He can fully understand.
Jeremiah 1:5 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Women need GOD just as much as men need GOD. I think that even though women are different from men in a lot of ways, that their desires and temptations to sin are similar in a lot of ways to men because the Bible speaks universal truth to all people. We shouldn't fall into a trap of labelling the woman as the tempter simply because we have a weakness in managing our own desires of the flesh. Admitting to GOD and repenting of not being prefect in the flesh is the only way to be successful at it in my opinion and we should pray for the lost there even if it is best to not physically be with them. I think bitterness toward the things that might be tempting us to disobey GOD draw us closer to the power that sin has on us and not further away, because GOD wants them to be saved also and He died for their forgiveness, so we should only pray in certain cases I believe. A point I'm driving at here is that women are not just the tempters, but also the tempted. (I think masking/controlling the entire female gender's struggle with this sin, by turning it into something that should only lead to shame is a deception the devil wants to see happen. Women need to repent of sin and live in GOD's goodness, but JESUS came to save not condemn. John 3:17) So, we should have compassion for their struggle that is similar to ours as men, and not see Christian women as "the enemy" that contributes to my weakness in the area of sexual morality. I also don't think it is wise to disagree with or water down anything GOD says in the Bible about sexual morality.
Hebrews 4:12 12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Some women and some men can be sexual tempters, that is why I wrote Christian women there above, because agreeing on the fact that everything JESUS Christ told us is true will help us determine if a relationship is healthy or unhealthy to be in for our faith. (Galatians 6:1)
