Pastor William Barber says Christian nationalism is 'a form of heresy' | CNN
I was fortunate to hear this distinguished intellectual Christian speak at Bridgewater College the week of MLK Day. I bought one of his books and got to say hello to him, and he was friendly in person. Thanks to BC for having him there as a speaker.
I probably don't agree with him 100% politically, but that is probably also most other people in the world because we're all different, and I do agree on a lot of his politics. I am Independent and lean to the right, he's Independent and probably leans to the left. He did not endorse a specific party as the solution to our country's problems during his speech and recognized the need for both parties to make positive changes. I feel blessed to have been there and learned from his experiences and wisdom.
He started his speech reading from Amos 5:18-27, if I remember the exact verses correctly, and he made other references to JESUS and the Bible scriptures throughout his speech at Bridgewater College. Reverend Wiliam J. Barber II is a legit disciple of JESUS that some people who identify with the Democrat party are drawn to. This is a very good thing because I am glad that Rev. Barber is shining the Light of JESUS in places where he is more successful ministerially than many others have the ability to be.
