I believe that we are still living in the time before the 1,000 years of Christ's reign. During that 1,000 years the devil will be bound in a pit and not be able to deceive all the nations. I don't think we've seen a time in history yet that for a 1,000 years the devil was not deceiving, and it is pretty obvious I think that we are not there as of right now. I believe we are in the time before the 1,000 years when the devil is trying to stand up, but an angel of GOD will throw him in the pit. (Revelation 20) We are living in the early times of globalization when the world is connected through technology. It makes sense that the devil would try his best to get control of globalization as it is coming into existence. I believe that GOD's law will break the devil of his power to deceive sometime in the, possibly near, future so eyes will be more open to seeing that what is good is good and what is bad is bad. I am not a trained Bible teacher. If you want to understand the Bible, the best thing to do is read if for yourself. It may take the devil 1,000 years of playing the system of globalization to eventually take over the world at which time JESUS will reveal Himself in victory and the devil will receive his final judgment from GOD at the end of the 1,000 years. I do not believe that the devil will succeed at taking over the world this time, but I think we are in the building up phase that eventually leads to the beginning of the 1,000 years. Once it begins, the 1,000 years may be the most blessed time in history to live in this world... I am guessing, GOD knows!
{As far as the angle that throws the devil in the pit in Revelation 20, I have thought that maybe GOD is calling His church an angel. If it's a real person/individual I have wondered if Martin Luther King Jr. was an angel. In that case MLK's Christian life legacy for peace and justice for all people would be a stronger force in the secular world, than the power of the devil's greed to rule others. I do not know, it's just thoughts on the scriptures.}
